About
Founded in 2004, Thief has become a force in the Dallas music scene. Thief has been playing shows in the South for the last several months and has captured the attention of music aficionados and fans alike. In April of 2005, Thief went into the studio in Nashville, Tennessee to record its first EP. Working with some of the best young talent in Nashville, Thief released its first project in early July 2005. Thief continues to tour throughout the South and among college campuses to introduce its music to fans and build band loyalty in every market they play. Thief has been blessed by its out-of-the box marketing style including building several major brand relationships in 2005. Thief's song "Secret" was pre-loaded on several hundred thousand MP3 players distributed to 7,000 RadioShack retail outlets over the holiday season. RadioShack also included an advertisement for Thief in over 1 million records distributed nationally to its stores in the 4th quarter of last year. Finally, Thief has been filmed for two national television shows, HD Nets True Music and YMCtvs (a new 24 hour national music television network to be large on Dishs Networks top tier of programming) City Sessions. Thief has shared the stage with bands such as: Flickerstick, Radiant, Green River Ordinance (GRO), JoJo, Bob Schneider, Foreign Oren, and more. With vocals that reflect the influences of Johnny Rzeznik (Goo Goo Dolls), Jeff Buckley, and Chris Martin, Thief offers a refreshing perspective on what is to be the future of alternative and pop rock music. The determination and musical talent of Peter Black and his band mates will make Thief a band that is sure to impress fans and garner significant label interest in 2006.
