About

Save the Scene is blend of Deep Ellum Residents, Business Owners, Employees, Musicians, Artists, and Friends of Deep Ellum that have come together to rejuvenate our neighborhood. As the neighborhood has begun to quiet down in relation to crime, Save the Scene has been developed in order to assist in reviving our great neighborhood. We are work closely with the Deep Ellum Residents Council, Deep Ellum Association and the City Council. We are always looking for new people to get involved! Our first meeting at the Darkside Lounge was host to over 30 people and received positive reviews from the Dallas Observer. The second meeting was host to over 50 people and we anticipate an even larger crowds as we progress. Our meetings are rotated each Monday in the Deep Ellum district to promote exposure to area businesses and explore what the area has to offer. The Save the Scene meetings are not a public forum for the problems that face Deep Ellum, or a place to rant about them. Save the Scene is a positive organization headed towards issues that we can tackle on our own through fund raising and volunteer efforts as well as event planning. We strive to provide organized meetings with a democratic voting platform on the agenda.

Save the Scene adopted a new name: DEEP, or Deep Ellum Enrichment Project.
