Dallas Music Wiki

The Dallas Music Wiki is my personal side project. I'm a big fan of local music, and have been working on a wiki to catalog and remember the great music that has come out of the Dallas area. It is completely done in PHP5 on a MySQL back end. Most of the 'flair' is hand-coded Javascript. It is obviously not a finished product, but it's getting there

Airimba Wireless

I worked at Airimba Wireless for over a year. I worked with a very talented designer. We tried to make everything faster, more standards-compliant, and most importantly, more maintainable.



Whenever a customer logs in, we send them to our customer portal. Because of the high volume of hits, we had to do a bit more optimization then normal. The original design used Javascript to pull news from RSS feeds, and had very high resolution graphics. I reduced the size of the graphics, and pulled the RSS feeds in batches to a database, so it could be displayed without having to contact third party servers.

SYSCO Dallas Intranet

SYSCO Dallas has an enormous need for reports. I built a reporting server that allowed me to write reports once for the entire enterprise. The reports are proprietary information, so I can't show the screen shots of the actual reports.

Playerchain

I recently took over maintenance for Playerchain, an online game trading site. The code is written in PHP4 using the Code Igniter framework.

Rimestimes

I got the opportunity to work with the Karma Ink Agency. I did the member authentication system and the tour dates calendar. The site was taken over by Yahoo! after we finished with it.
