The History of Page 8

In the beginning there are nothing... No wait, let's start a little bit more recently.

A long time ago, man created employment. As part of that employment people were forced to work together in close proximity for large parts of their daily lives. This was very difficult in the olden days when it was just men at work.

Some time later the men in power realized that they were missing out on half of the potential work force that they could exploit. They brought women in to the workplace, and realized that they were as good as if not better at their jobs then men. However, men and women have enough trouble in dealing with each other when they aren't forced to be close to one another in a potentially stressful environment.

So employers decided that they needed some "rules of engagement" for their poor lowly workers. A simple list of what to do or what not to do would be too easy. The lawyers got involved and legalled up what could be a simple document.

Page 8 is an attempt at getting back to an easily understandable list of things to do and things not to do in a corporate environment.
