About

From the Rocket Girl site:
Jon never had much of a choice. Exposed to music and having been in the presence of Sir James Paul McCartney while still in utero, he was hopelessly predestined to be a musician. And so his inevitable musical travels began, starting with a well pounded set of Muppet drums, and graduating to strumming his father's Fender Strat wildly to the sounds of The Tubes, Kiss or the Beatles.

Jon began playing in bands at a young age, learning the intricacies of the interpersonal dynamics of migrating land-based mammals with questionable hygiene practices... also known as "musicians". He has played with Tonto Pez, Chaser, The Texas Cadillac Conspiracy, The Buzzcuts, The Screwtape Letters, Marnie's Little Brother, The Joey Witham Band, toomuchsausage, Tweed, Preston Grey, Annie Benjamin & Rocket Girl, The Dirtblazers, blacktopGYPSY, and others.

Jon provides all those swell "swells" and atmospherics in addition to some hard charging industrial strength twang for Rocket Girl.

Influences include Stephen Bruton, David Grissom, Jimi Hendrix, George Harrison, Ry Cooder, David Linley, Eric Johnson, Jim Thomas, Lowell George, and any other guitarist who can make authentic whale sounds.
