The Touch - Bass

From their website:
Possessing the skill and dexterity to knock over three things at once and remain oblivious, and at the same time wax eloquent about the latest computer wargames, James Russell Scott is also a fine arranger of flowers and the occasional rock song. The middleman, Jim bridges the gap between rhythm and melody and anchors The Touch's music-allowing the band to exploit a large dynamic range and retain its well-defined sound. Often described as the "most smartest" member of the group, Jim's harmonies lend a smooth texture to Lee's gritty vocals. Collaborating with Lee on lyrics, Jim's direct writing style brings focus to the band's songs.

When not playing his Carvin 5-string bass Jim can usually be found with his devoted wife, Monica, and their three little ones: Christian, Katherine and the recently unleashed Elizabeth. A former Air Force cadet and reluctant telecommunications engineer, Jim now contents himself with being beaten by his son in Kung Fu class and giving deep philosophical discourses, frequently asking the metaphysical question, "You gonna finish those fries?"
