From their website:Hailing from Dallas, Texas, Evenmark is an independent rock group that combines strong vocals with big rock guitars and powerful hooks. This melodic hard rock band has developed a sound reminiscent of artists such as the Foo Fighters, Nickelback, and Incubus.
Cody McCubbin (vocals/guitar) and Yuri Torres (drums/vocals), songwriting partners since 2003, discovered a shared vision and continuity in music early on. When it comes to songwriting they share a longing for divergence and escape in their composure and composition. The result: good tunes that thrust a sword into your heart, and then give you a pillow to rest your weary head. Stepping in to complete the lineup were Texas Red Dirt veteran Cory Knick (bass) and the soulful and multitalented Eric White (guitar).
After 11 months of writing and recording, the band independently released their self-titled album in August 2005.
Over the past two years, Evenmark has played numerous shows in Texas and Oklahoma and have built a strong fan base. The band is currently seeking regional radio play, CD reviews and show bookings in Texas and surrounding states.
