News

From their website:
Doosu played it's last show on December 20th, 2003 in Dallas at the Curtain Club. It was an awesome experience for each of us and will last as a memory for a lifetime. We brought some rock, the best we knew how, for over a decade, while along the way meeting some of the coolest people ever and making some great friends. Inevitably as time passed, new opportunities and responsibilities began to develop and demand more attention, and a las, the Doosu chapter in our lives had to close.

Fast forward to the autumn of 2004, and each of us are still busy and active in the music side of life...

Eric, of course, can be found bringing the cool Texas boogie vibe onto stages everywhere with his band, The Mermaid Purse. The band's highly-anticipated full-length cd was released on September 14th, and it rocks, so it's worth checking out.

Casey can be found bringing the rock with Burden Brothers, the group formed by Todd Lewis ( Toadies ) and Taz Bentley ( Reverend Horton Heat ). If you listen to radio, then you've probably heard them. That "Beautiful Night" song? Rocks. Their new single "Shadow" - Rocks. They have a new DVD coming out soon and will be on tour forever and will soon be in a town somewhere near you, so check 'em out.

Chad can be found tearing it up now and then with his good buddy Jason in History At Our Disposal. In the meantime, he's busy raising one of the cutest kids this side of the Pecos.

Todd can be found slamming on drums for Flickerstick as they tour the country over the next year to promote the October 5th national release of their new cd, Tarantula.

In other develpments: The possiblity of releasing some Doosu material continues... we're talking about maybe a live concert dvd, some unreleased music both new and old, and maybe even some live concert recordings. We're still hoping to include the long-lost Four Steps video, if we can just find the misplaced map to that buried treasure. Anyhow, we'll keep you posted.

For those interested, the Merchandise page is still active with our remaining stock of tshirts, CDs, and posters. Get 'em while you can. Take care, and thanks again for stopping by.
