Or Are We Talking About Mom-Corn Here?
By: Jim DeWittwith many choices & varieties
popping up all over the place, you ask:
why is it that white is supposed to
have the better taste?
and do the biggest kernel-puffs
necessarily mean "the best" because small types
might show you a much more
interesting texture- not to forget how
black popcorn has quite enough of that
"corn" flavor to be savored unsalted
without apologies --
and as to the hot-oil popping way
best to ventilate it so the heat can escape
with "the more agitation the better"
while on occasion you can surprisingly note
how the ear size for the "Ladyfinger" variety
is only four inches
but it's remarkably tender
with a slightly nutty flavor, and great for
those people with extra-sensitive teeth
because there are no hard hulls --
so folks, what else can I say
except "go for it"
