I'm Sorry

By: Pat Adams

For what it's worth, I'm sorry. I know it doesn't mean much to you, that the terrible act I've done can never be undone, and no amount of apologizing can make it right. But I'm still sorry. I'm sorry I could never live up to your lofty expectations. I'm sorry I'm not perfect, or even decent at what you want me to do. I wish I could make it all better, but you and I both know that I can't. You think I am wrong, stupid and irrational. That may be true, but some decisions must be made, must be learned from. There comes a time in everyone's life when they must make a big decision and live with the consequences of their actions. This is that time, that was my decision, and I'm sorry.
