Untitled
By: Matt RoppoloMy insecurities threw a party on my behalf
all gathered around to point and look down
They danced, they sang, they laughed,
And I sat with my head hung low
stabbing myself in the heart
Bitter enemies of my ideas there are none
How can my friends play such a hellish part
Dare I reveal my heart to them
And face ridicule and spite
To set my feelings free to swim
toward the blinding surface light
To do so would it be suicide,
or is dying my feelings to hide,
you're my friend to judge, jury, and executioner
I await
You alone can control my fate
I give up. You've already killed me.
I can't even make myself finish this poem.
