Digital Darkness E-zine Issue 14
Issn: 1099-8446 (c)1999 Digital Darkness Published 1 February 1999Welcome to issue 14 of Digital Darkness. This issue is missing something. We've got a vacuum that needs to be filled, and I know I can't do it. I'm gonna try, but...
At any rate, I've spent more time on this issue trying to get the articles and photography to mean something, to tell a coherent story together. Undertakings such as this are hard as hell, and I have a newfound respect for photojournalists. Photography is hard, writing is hard. Mixing the two is demented.
But everyone knows that a picture is worth a thousand words, so a more graphically intense magazine is what the public wants, right? I mean, Americans in general have had their attention spans cut down continually that they probably can't pay attention to the writing on the wall anyway. I commend the readers of this zine for being able to read, it's a lost art.
So here's issue 14, my loneliest venture to date. This issue is dedicated to my fallen comrade, a warrior of philosophy, as well as all of my other lost friends and lovers.
[ Note to the mailing list subscribers: Because of the graphically intense articles and storyline, I suggest you view this zine on the web page ( http://digitaldarkness.com/zine/dd14/ ). The photographs tell a story along with the text. ]
