Crossing Ellum is the combination of Matthew JC (vocals), Nate Holm (guitars), Kyle Abel (bass), DJ Smoke (DJ/backing vocals), and Thomas Stewart (drums). The band's broad musical influences, grounded in pure guitar driven rock, are combined with current hip hop influences which culminates in music that's not quite "guitar rock" and not quite "rap-rock". The music Crossing Ellum writes and performs, engages their audience at not just the sonic level, but also at the feeling level as well.
