Biography
From their website:Cherry Blossom Clinic was put together in early 2001 as a creative outlet for Dave Crow from his band, Orange Helicopter. Orange Helicopter fizzled out in March 2001, so CBC came to fruition. Dave switched from playing bass to guitar. CBC played it's first gig at Wings in Arlington, TX. The lineup at the time was Dave Crow - guitar/vocals; Mike Henson - guitar/vocals; Mike Hildebrandt -bass; Coley Tennant - drums. This lineup released our first CD, gigged, hung out, loved/hated, and wrote songs until mid-June 2001 WHEN...........
Mike Henson left to rejoin Joey C. Jones (singer of Orange Helicopter) to form Haze Grey. Band friend JD Flynn - guitar/vocals stepped in to replace Mike. This lineup gigged, hung out, jammed, loved/hated, wrote songs, and promoted until early September 2001 WHEN...........
Both JD Flynn and Mike Hildebrandt left the band. This caused CBC to have to cancel some important dates, but we were not to be denied our place in rock obscurity. Dave got busy, wrote all new material, and recorded the disc The Great Poptastic Splendorbomb. In December 2001, enter longtime friend John Paul Lowrey - bass/vocals and Church Mickel - guitar/vocals. With this lineup in early 2002, CBC shot videos for the songs "Something New" and "Go!", with only the "Something New" video actually becoming a finished product. This lineup gigged, hung out, wrote songs, shot videos, jammed, promoted, and loved/hated until June 2002, WHEN...........
Church Mickel left the band, only to be replaced by former CBC member, Mike Henson. During this time, Dave started recording songs for a new CD that would later become our "Orange" CD. This lineup gigged , jammed, promoted, wrote songs, and loved/hated until December 2002, WHEN...........
Again, Mike Henson left the band. Enter another long time friend Buddy Bryant - guitar. With this lineup came the release of CBC's third full length CD "Orange" in May of 2003. This line up gigged, laughed, jammed, promoted, and wrote songs until early June 2003, WHEN...........
Coley Tennant left the band. During the remainder of 2003, CBC gigged hard, using the fill in drummers: JT Longoria (played drums on, engineered, and co-produced the "Orange" CD), Rick Greenwood, and April Samuels (ex-Frognot, ex-Baby Jane Hudson). There may have been others, but our memory is a bit hazy about these events. This continued until early 2004, WHEN...........
April Samuels joined the band, and John Lowrey faded into obscurity. Enter Joe Henderson - bass/vocals, March 2004 who stepped away from guitar to bass to devote seven months to the band, WHEN...........
In September of 2004, Joe Henderson and CBC parted ways so that Joe could return focus on guitar. Pat Teel slipped in on bass on September 10, 2004... and the rest is history....................
