About

From his website:
bigDlittled.com is certainly not the first music Web site to keep a watchful eye on the Dallas (D), Denton (d) and Fort Worth (um... Fort Worth) music scenes; many of those sites are linked below and deserve more than a few page views. So what makes Dd.com worth adding to that thick bookmarks list?

Created and run by Sam Machkovech, former music editor at the Dallas Observer, Dd.com will become the new broadcasting point for Sam's dedication to and professional examination of the best music in the North Texas area. Indie rock, hard rock, metal, hip-hop, jazz, country, folk, DJ and electronic genres are fair game at Dd (and if we can find a unique, interesting blues group in town, maybe we'll add that category at some point), but unlike other outlets in the region, we won't bore you with rehashed national coverage. And our takes on the local scene will be full of the same attention to detail, criticism and research that Sam delivered to the city for three and a half years as both a freelancer and an editor at the Observer. In fact, without space and content restrictions, we'll go even further in depth with longer articles, easier access to multimedia and speedier updates.

Quite frankly, we'd like to be the best in town, and we'll work our asses off to reach that lofty goal.

Since September 2006, Dd has been home to a variety of features, interviews, CD reviews, concert reviews and news updates. But we're nothing without your tips, CDs, press releases and opinions. Please e-mail us at bigdlittled@gmail.com with any feedback, news tips, MP3s and (of course) criticisms; we'll almost certainly post and/or respond to anything we receive, and if your tip needs to remain anonymous, that's fine with us, "John"!
